Bloody teething!! Any parents worst nightmare! Some parents are lucky though, some little ones go through the teething process like champs, with not much fuss. I am the in between parent, my little one has her days but for the most part she is chilled out, she will just chomp on something if her gums are irritating her. We have a lot of teething accessories, but you can never have too many with a toddler around. A lot of them go missing, so I was delighted to receive a gorgeous teething necklace from Organic Mama.

Their teething Jewellery collection features a safety breakaway clasp and are made with 100% food grade silicone non-toxic beads certified to be BPA, Phthalates, Lead and PVC free. The teething necklaces create tactile awareness and helps focus while breastfeeding. They can be washed in warm soapy water or in the dishwasher top rack and can be sterilised. They also come in a reusable pouch, which is great for storing the necklace when not in use. The necklaces are meant for mama's to wear hence why they are so stylish and on trend. Perfect for mamas that want to look fabulous whilst remaining practical for their little one.

I received the gorgeous Nova Teething Necklace, featuring geometric hexagon shaped beads in the colours white, black and mint green which goes perfectly with everything. It is a beautiful everyday statement necklace and I love how it compliments my simple style. It makes the outfit look put together. I also do not have to struggle with looking for a teether hidden somewhere in the bag or probably not in there because "someone" took it out when out and about, I can just relax and cuddle my little girl while she chews on it to soothe her gums.

My little one wanted it as soon as I got it out of the packaging because the colours and the shape of the beads are quite attractive and it was a big hit. She loves pulling and gumming on it till she is satisfied. It also triples as a toy when we are out and she doesn't want to be social she will just sit on my lap and play with it.

The teething necklaces would be perfect for any mama and an excellent gift to add in a gift basket for a mum to be. Make sure to have a look at the range of necklaces here which can be customised by the way and other gorgeous organic goodies for your precious little ones.

Lots of love,

Hey beautiful people,

just thought I should let you know how I survived breastfeeding the first few months.

Breast pads were a must for me! I did not think I needed any till I woke up in a pool of breast milk, ok that is a little exaggeration, I literally woke up soaking wet! I tried different breast pads and the disposable ones worked way better for me. I used the Tommee Tippee Breast pads till about 8 months of breastfeeding.

Man, am I glad I got this! The 6th day of breastfeeding was torture!! I was in so much pain and my nipples were cracking and bleeding because of bubbas non stop feeding. Lansinoh Lanolin cream did help with the cracking. I popped it on whenever I felt I needed it in the first week.

Muslin cloths, my lifesavers!!! I had an oversupply and Liseli would pull off the boobs whenever I had a let down which led to breast milk splashing everywhere. I used a Muslin Cloth to catch it. Also used them as burp cloths or cover ups.

I had an emergency C section so I breastfed her in a football hold position most of the time which was slightly uncomfortable for me so decided to get a Breastfeeding Pillow and it helped a lot. Used it to give her support when learning how to sit and it was also a little help during tummy time.

Those were MY breastfeeding essentials, what are/were yours? Let me know in the comments section.

Lots of Love,

I miss carrying a handbag! I tried to carry one once and it just did not work out well lol. I need tips from mums who do it so well.

There is a lot of choices out there when it comes to changing bags. I changed my mind a couple of times and it took me forever to finally decide on the one I wanted. I went for something practical and a neutral colour that would go with anything and that the husband would be comfortable carrying around, although he did say he would carry a pink floral one, its just a changing bag after all hey? Lol

It comes with a changing mat which I use when in public changing areas and an insulated bottle holder which I have never used so I cannot really tell you if it does keep the drink/milk warm or cold for a long period of time.

I have used the changing bag for 13 months now and I will probably use it till my daughter upgrades to her own little pack bag. Just like most changing bags, it is practical, easy to clean and very spacious. I can fit a lot of crap in it lol. My daughter loves it too, she is always leaving goodies for me in it, which I usually find a few days after and its never a good thing.

This is what is in my changing bag at the moment. I always pack a cup of water, snacks, nappy bags and a few more nappies if we go out for the day.

Winter hat
Nappy/diaper to our American friends
Bepanthen nappy cream
Hand lotion (I have dry hands that need moisture all the time)
Hand sanitiser
A pen (for moments wen you need one. If I can find it)
Spare socks
Breast pads which I do not need anymore.
Her red book
Compact mirror
Soft toy
Which changing bag do you have? Let me know in the comments section.

Lots of love,

Kapinda X
